Trajectory
I obtained my PhD in December 2016 at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, working on theoretical quantum optics under the supervision of Profs. Carlos Tejedor and Fabrice Laussy. The title of my thesis was "Generation of Non-Classical States of Light". During this time, I also did two wonderful academic stays at Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching, Germany, and at University of Sussex, UK.
I moved to Japan on January 2017 to join the group of Prof. Franco Nori at the Center of Emergent Matter Science (CEMS) in RIKEN (now rebranded to RIKEN Cluster for Pioneering Research), where I was awarded a fellowship from the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) to do independent research in quantum optics.
In June 2018, I moved to University of Oxford to enjoy a Marie-Slodowska Curie Fellowship in the group of Prof. Dieter Jaksch, were I worked implementing the project QUSON oriented to sensing and quantum optical networks.
In March 2020 I was awarded a La Caixa Junior Leader Fellowship, which will bring me back to Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in August 2020 to start an independent theory group working on quantum optics, open quantum systems and sensing. Please contact me if you are interested in joining my group as a PhD candidate!
